Payment Method: Cash Purchase
Sell a variant outright. The customer pays the full price, with no financing partner or lease in the loop.
Cash purchase is the default payment mode in Reonic. The customer pays the offer total directly, and the variant stays editable while you build it, up until you send it for signature. Payment mode is set per component inside a variant, so cash mode applies to any component you haven't routed through financing or leasing.
Before you start
- You have a variant with components planned (solar, battery, wallbox, heat pump, or add-ons).
- No special setup is needed. Cash purchase works on every account.
- This is a residential flow. Commercial offers price components directly too, but the per-component payment-mode picker described here is the residential surface.
Set a variant to cash purchase
- Open the offer and select the variant you want to price.
- Go to the Financing tab of the offer.
- Leave the variant in its default state. A variant with no financing variant created and no lease configured is a cash-purchase variant.
- The customer sees the component prices and the offer total.
The full amount is due to you directly. Reonic does not collect or split payments.
Note: Payment mode is per component, not per offer. You can keep solar on cash purchase while routing the heat pump through financing in the same variant.
Show a cash variant alongside a financing variant
- Create your cash-purchase variant as above.
- Duplicate it, then create a financing variant from the duplicate.
- The offer now carries both. The customer compares the cash total against the financed monthly instalment side by side before signing one variant.
Pro tip: Customers decide faster when they see the cash price and the monthly financed figure on the same offer. Build both variants before you send for signature.
Things to know
- The variant stays editable until you send it for signature. A cash-purchase variant stays open while you build it. It locks for editing once a signature request is pending: to change the bill of materials, prices, or discounts after that, withdraw the pending signature request, edit, then send a new one. After signing, the variant is locked for good.
- Reonic does not process the payment. Cash purchase means the customer pays you outside the app. Payment terms and collection happen in your invoicing or accounting tool, not in Reonic.
- Discounts apply normally. Global rebates, component-level rebates, and a custom deal value all work on a cash variant. Margin stays visible to admins on the offer list.
- You can show a cash variant and an instalment variant on one offer. Build two variants on the same offer, one cash and one financing, and the customer signs whichever they prefer.
- Reonic supports three payment methods on an offer. Cash purchase, financing through a partner, and leasing. Cash purchase is the default.
