Add a custom page to the offer PDF
Embed your own PDFs — brochures, certificates, financing data sheets — into the offer at a dedicated page slot, so they render inline with every generated and signed offer.
Beyond toggling and reordering the built-in chapters, the Customise pages workflow lets you insert your own pages into the offer PDF. This is how you add a brochure addendum, attach your installer qualifications, or fold in a financing data sheet — content that isn't one of the standard Reonic chapters.
To toggle, reorder, or restyle the built-in chapters (cover, economics, components, household energy flow), see Modify existing pages. For the broader Finalise mental model, see Finalise overview.
Who this is for
Account managers and installer admins with the residential offers permission (editor-or-higher role). If you don't see the Customise pages button on the Finalise tab, your role doesn't have the permission. Ask your admin to enable it.
Before you start
- Open the offer in the Portal and make sure the variant is planned and priced (components in, payment modes set, prices computed).
- The offer must not be locked. Once a signature has been signed, the Customise-pages button is greyed out with a lock icon. To change a locked offer, withdraw any pending signature or fork to a new variant. See Finalise and request signature.
- Have your document ready as a PDF file. The embed accepts PDFs, not images or office docs.
- Confirm your workspace template has a document-embedding slot configured (Addendum, Custom documents, or Terms of service). If none exists, your admin adds one at Settings > Planning & offer > Pages & Design > Embedded Documents.
Embed your own PDF documents (brochures, certificates, addenda)
Reonic supports adding your own PDF files into the offer at specific page slots. Useful for credentials (master-electrician certificate, manufacturer partner badges), product brochures, financing data sheets, or technical specs.
Note: Which embedding slots are available (Addendum, Custom documents, Terms of service, and similar) depends on your workspace template — the slot names vary. Your admin configures these in the workspace template under Settings > Planning & offer > Pages & Design > Embedded Documents.
- Open the offer in the Portal, go to the Finalise tab, open the Preview panel, and click Customise pages.
- Scroll to Embed document at the bottom.
- Upload your PDF, or choose an already-embedded PDF, and push it to the desired position in the offer.
- Save. The embedded document renders at that position in the generated offer PDF.
Pro tip: Use embedded documents to attach your installer qualifications/certificates to the customer-facing offer. The standard route is to upload a one-page PDF with your master-electrician cert and partner badges into the Addendum slot. It then renders inline with every signed offer.
Save, reset, or discard
- Save: confirms your changes. While uploads finish, a hint reads "Images are being uploaded, please hold on for a moment…". Keep the modal open until the save completes.
- Discard changes: a confirmation dialog appears ("Really discard changes?"). Confirm it to drop your pending edits and revert to the last saved state.
- Reset to global settings: only visible once the offer is on a custom snapshot. Discards your custom overrides (including embedded documents) and pulls in the current workspace default.
Things to know
- Document embedding is per-offer. A PDF you embed here renders on this offer only. To attach a document to every future offer, your admin embeds it in the workspace template at Settings > Planning & offer > Pages & Design > Embedded Documents instead.
- The slot has to exist in the workspace template. You can only embed a document where the template defines a slot. If no Addendum / Custom-documents slot is configured, the upload option won't appear: that's a template setting, not a per-offer one.
- You choose where the embedded page lands. Push the document to the position you want in the offer's page order. Reorder the surrounding chapters in Page layout if you need to fine-tune it. See Modify existing pages.
- Signed PDFs stay fixed. Once a customer signs, their signed copy is final. Embedding or removing a document after signature only affects new preview renders, never the customer's signed copy.
