Time tracking in the Portal and the app

Capture working time via timer or manually, link entries to projects, and export them as Excel.

In Reonic you capture working time either live via a timer or afterward manually. Both ways work in the Portal and in the Reonic app; entries can be linked to projects and exported as Excel.

This page covers time tracking from the CRM and Portal, the day-to-day capture and review. The event-type categories you pick from are defined under Settings -> Organization -> Time tracking; for the setup side, see Time tracking settings. For the mobile timer and on-site capture, see the Time tracking in the app page.

Open Time tracking

Click Time tracking in the left navigation.

Capture time with the timer

  1. Start the timer via the button on the time-tracking page or at the top of the sidebar.
  2. Pause the timer for breaks; it continues afterward.
  3. End the timer at the end of the workday.

For very short sessions, Reonic warns gently to help avoid accidental mini-entries.

Add a manual entry

  1. Click Add entry.
  2. Choose the user, the date, and optionally a project to link to.
  3. Create segments with start and end times, choosing an event-type category for each. The categories come from Settings -> Organization -> Time tracking.
  4. Add a note and a fixed break time as needed.
  5. Save the entry.

If an entry is linked to a project, it also appears in the project record under the Time tracking tab. This lets you see per-project and overall how much time was spent.

Export to Excel

The Excel export downloads all captured times, including all parameters. Set a date filter beforehand if you only need a subset.

Pro tip: Train field workers to use the timer rather than retrospective manual entry. The time-on-site numbers are far more accurate, and you get realistic data for next year's pricing.
