Time tracking on the Mobile App
Track your hours on-site straight from the Mobile App, with a live timer or a manual entry.
This page covers logging your own time from the Mobile App: the live floating timer and the manual entry. It stays on the in-app flow. To set up the categories you attach to an entry (Travel, On-site, Office, and so on), see Set up time-tracking categories in Settings.
Run the live timer
- On the Home screen, find the Time-tracking accordion showing your last few entries.
- Tap Start timer to begin a live entry. A floating timer appears with an elapsed counter, a Stop button, and a Log break toggle.
- Move around the app freely. The timer keeps running, and it survives an app restart.
- When you're done, tap Stop, or open the time-tracking screen and tap +. Either path opens the Create form with the timer stopped and the time range pre-filled.
- Confirm the details (optional project link, breaks, comment), then tap Save.
Log an entry after the fact
- Tap the Home accordion to open the full time-tracking screen.
- Tap + to open the Create form.
- Set the Date, Start, and End, add any Breaks, and optionally pick a Project to link the entry to.
- The form shows a live Total of your worked time minus breaks.
- Tap Save.
To edit an entry, tap it to open the read-only detail, tap Edit, change the values, then Save.
Things to know
- The timer keeps running until you stop it. There is no auto-stop, so check the floating timer before you put the phone down for the night.
- Project linking is optional. Pick a project and the entry tags itself Residential or Commercial automatically; leave it blank to log un-linked hours.
- Your edits are saved. When you change an entry and tap Save, the entry updates to the new values.
For category setup, team views, and Excel export, see Set up time-tracking categories in Settings.
