Heat-load materials
Add custom building materials with your own U-values so room-by-room heat-load calculations match your regional experience.
Open the heat-load materials library from Settings → Simulation → Heating load Materials.
What you can do
- Reonic ships a set of standard materials with norm U-values out of the box.
- You can create a custom material by defining its U-values across building areas and year-of-construction bands.
- When you add a custom material, choose whether it is used in addition to the standard materials or exclusively.
Note: Each planning keeps the materials it was built with. When your custom-materials library changes after a planning was created, that planning shows a warning banner with a button labelled Update to latest custom materials. Click it to pull the change onto that planning. This keeps a settings change from altering quotes that are already in progress until you decide to apply it.
