Energy and Gas prices
Set the workspace-wide default electricity, oil, and gas prices, plus the annual escalation rates, that pre-fill every new offer's Profitability simulation.
These workspace-wide defaults pre-fill the Profitability simulation on every new offer. You set them once as an admin, and every new offer starts from them. Your team can fine-tune the values on an individual offer when a project needs different assumptions.
Before you start
- You need the Admin role.
- Know your country's typical reference prices (electricity €/kWh, oil €/litre, gas €/m³).
- Decide your house view on escalation. The simulation's payback math is highly sensitive to these rates: 3% versus 6% annual electricity-price growth can move break-even by 3 to 5 years.
Set the defaults
- Open Settings > Simulation > Electricity & gas prices.
- Fill the residential defaults:
- Electricity price (Strompreis, €/kWh) — your default electricity price.
- Electricity price increase (Strompreissteigerung, %/a) — the annual electricity-price increase, chosen from a dropdown that ranges from -10% to +10% in 1% steps. If you leave it on the default, the simulation uses about 3% per year.
- Monthly base price (Grundpreis pro Monat) and Base price increase (Grundpreissteigerung) — the fixed grid-operator fee and its annual growth.
- Oil price (Ölpreis, €/litre) — your default oil price.
- Gas price (Gaspreis, €/m³) — your default gas price.
- Increase in oil/gas prices (Öl-/Gaspreissteigerung, %/a) — the annual increase for non-renewable heating fuel. This drives the Heating cost trends (Heizkostenentwicklung) chart on heat-pump offers.
- Click Save.
The values pre-fill the Profitability page on every new offer. Your team can still adjust any value per offer from the project's Energy Demand card, and that offer keeps the adjusted value.
Things to know
- Leave a field blank and the offer uses a sensible reference price for your country. Fill it in to work from your own numbers.
- Each fuel uses one escalation rate. The rate is a flat percent applied evenly across every year of the simulation.
