Calendar categories
Group and order your calendar list in the sidebar so the calendars your team uses most sit together.
A calendar category is a way to organise the calendar list itself. It controls how calendars are grouped and sorted in the calendar-selection sidebar, so a team with many calendars can keep related ones together and put the ones they reach for most at the top.
Categories operate at the calendar level. They tidy the list of calendars in the sidebar. Team calendars and User calendars are grouped for you automatically, and categories give you control over how the rest of the list is arranged.
You manage them under Settings > Organization > Calendar categories.
Things to know
- Grouping is at the calendar level. Categories arrange which calendars sit next to each other in the sidebar and in what order. They are an organising layer over the calendar list.
- Team and User calendars are auto-grouped. These standard groupings appear without any setup.
- Categories organise calendars, not events. Use categories to arrange the calendar list. To sort what appears inside a calendar, work with the calendars themselves.
