Add a heat pump to the offer

Attach a heat pump from your catalog to this offer, then add storage and heating-rod components as needed.

This is the step where you put a specific heat-pump model onto the offer. Sizing it against the building's heat load happens on the Dimensioning table, and the bivalence and installation-date settings live on More settings. This page is about selecting and attaching the pump.

Residential only. Heat pumps are a residential product, so this flow applies to residential projects.

Before you start

  • The pump model must exist in your components catalog.
  • The Reuse existing heating system? toggle on the Heating section records whether the customer keeps an existing boiler. It does not affect heat-pump selection. The picker is available either way. Once the offer variant has been signed, the picker is no longer editable.

Attach the heat pump

  1. On the offer's Planning view, open the Heating section.
  2. Click Select heat pump. The components picker opens, pre-filtered to heat-pump types.
  3. Find the model. Search by name, brand, or article number, and narrow with the type filter.
  4. Click Add on the row.

The pump becomes a line item on the offer. The heating editor manages the pump, heating storage, warm-water storage, and heating rod as component pickers — add a storage or rod component where the pump has no integrated one.

Run the simulation

  1. Set the quantity and bivalence as needed. See More settings for the bivalence and rod-power details.
  2. Click Calculate Costs to run the simulation. The offer PDF and customer-facing figures populate from the simulation output.

Things to know

  • The pump is sized from the building heat load, not from this picker. Picking the catalog model sets which product is offered. The size the simulation plans against comes from the Building and heat load card. Fill at least one heat-load input method there before you simulate.   • The customer's current heating is logged separately and drives the profitability comparison. The Existing heating card builds the status-quo baseline for the profitability view. It does not size or otherwise change the heat pump. See Capture the existing heating and consumption.
  • You can add more than one heat pump to an offer, for example cascaded units.
  • Integrated sub-components hide their fields. If the pump already includes a heating rod or storage, those offer-side fields do not show. There is nothing to size separately.
  • If the simulation reports a heat pump that cannot be simulated, the catalog component is missing data, typically its efficiency curve. Complete that data on the component, then re-run.
  • More settings — bivalence temperature and installation date.
  • Add a subsidy line (KfW) to the offer — add the KfW subsidy line for the pump, done from the subsidy line-items area of the offer.
  • Capture the existing heating and consumption — the profitability baseline. It does not affect heat-pump selection or size the pump.
  • Run a room-by-room heat-load calculation — how the pump is sized against the building heat load.
